In May 2025, the CEO of TrainingAssets, Delcia Bradley-King, talked with SKN AM about the utility of the services she provides to help professionals navigate the intricacies of customer service, workplace relationships, and links between performance expectations and opportunities for professional growth.
Mrs. Bradley-King states that dialogue between managers and employees is fundamental to creating a workplace environment where all players have clear expectations about the way training can help organizations achieve their goals.
The Aim of Training#
King states that training programs evolve as measures to bridge gaps between the skills and knowledge workers possess and the skills and knowledge they need to perform either in existing roles or new ones.
Things to Do Before the Training Session#
Bradley-King says that maximum benefits may be derived from training by performing key actions even before the session begins. Those actions, she says, can be grouped based on workers’ roles within the organization.

The Manager#
Bradley-King proposes that as part of their official duties, managers should undertake to explain the purpose of the training program to employees. She also believes that once managers clearly articulate what employees may expect from the program, employees would be predisposed to outcomes that can facilitate higher levels of engagement during training sessions.
The Employee#
Bradley-King also believes that once employees keep an open mind, they can prepare themselves mentally to engage with the program in ways that would maximize the benefits they stand to derive from it.
Things to Do During the Training Session#
Once the session begins, Bradley-King advises both trainers and participants to follow three simple rules:
Focus on Relevance#
She states that when trainers focus on creating programs that are relevant to the participants’ contexts and needs, participants will be more likely to show greater interest in the program and seize opportunities to be actively involved in it.
Aim for Active Engagement#
According to Bradley-King, trainers and participants can derive maximum benefit from programs that are designed specifically for active engagement with participants.
“The training has to be designed in a way that it is engaging. It has to be designed in a way that it provides opportunities for the participants to talk, for them to share, for them to practice the skills, as well.” – Delcia Bradley King
Be Hands-On#
Bradley-King says that hands-on components can help participants appreciate the relevance of training programs by providing opportunities for participants and trainers to interact with each other. She adds that trainers’ reliance on gamification techniques can cement participants’ learning opportunities by making the overall experience fun.
Things to Do After the Session#
Bradley-King stresses that the success of training programs hinges on the actions program participants and managers take once training sessions conclude.
The Employee#
When it comes to what employees can do to maximize their own investment in training once training sessions concludes, Bradley-King says they should create an action plan in line with the objectives of the training program and follow through.
The Manager or Direct Supervisor#
Bradley-King states that managers and direct supervisors play a critical role in ensuring the program’s success. Their positions, she says, enable them to interact with program participants continuously on matters related to training. Accordingly, she advises managers to monitor employees for improvements and provide feedback as necessary.

Community involvement is essential for successful conservation. Local people, who often depend on forests for their livelihoods, play a significant role in managing these resources sustainably. Education and awareness programs help foster a sense of ownership, ensuring that forests are protected and preserved for future generations.
Engaging local communities is vital for successful conservation efforts. Since many depend on forests for their livelihoods, they are key players in sustainable resource management. Raising awareness and providing education empower these communities, fostering a shared commitment to protect forests for the future.
